Air duct cleaning in Howard, Panama
Howard was a United States air base and today brings together hangars, offices and service centers of many companies. Here is who authorizes entry and what is checked first.
Duct cleaning in Howard is the camera inspection and cleaning of the inside of the air conditioning ducts of maintenance hangars, offices, warehouses and service centers of this former air base. Each building has its own manager, who defines access and schedule, and cleaning is done only in the sections where the camera justifies it.
Howard, a former air base turned into a business park
Howard was a United States air base that reverted to Panama in late 1999. According to La Estrella, it opened in 1942, has an 8,500-foot runway and was for nearly six decades the United States’ air bastion in the region. Today that land, within the Arraiján district, hosts a special economic area with hangars, offices and service centers.
Each building now has a different owner and a different function, which makes it necessary to always ask who manages each one and what it shares with its neighbors before scheduling the camera inspection. A maintenance hangar, an office and a call center call for different air conditioning, and the ducts of each are inspected according to that use.

How the work is coordinated in Howard
- Who manages each building. In an area with many different companies, each building has its own manager, and it is first identified who is responsible for the system to be inspected.
- The operation’s shifts. Hangars and service centers work in shifts, so slots are agreed in which the section to be inspected is free, and the work moves forward sector by sector.
- One report per company. Each company gets its own report, without mixing data with its neighbors, because the area brings together firms with very different operations.

Frequently asked questions
Do you clean ducts in Howard?
Yes. Howard, the former air base in the Arraiján district, is among the areas that can be served, and the service is provided by Limpieza de Ductos Panamá, a Climatiza service. Schedule and access are agreed with the property manager or the person in charge of each building.
Is Howard the same as Panamá Pacífico?
Howard is the name of the former base and Panamá Pacífico that of its special economic area, so today both names largely refer to the same territory. For the service it is enough to give the address or the building name, because what changes the work is who manages it.
Can an aircraft maintenance hangar be inspected?
Yes, when the manager authorizes it. The work starts with the adjacent offices and rooms and it is agreed which hangar areas may be viewed, because some work areas have their own access rules and are not entered without permission.
Can a service center that works in shifts be served?
Yes. The slot in which each section is free is agreed, for example between shifts or at the time of lowest staffing, and the work advances sector by sector so the rest of the center keeps operating. At the end the report goes to whoever coordinated entry.
