Short answer

Duct cleaning in Don Bosco is the camera inspection and cleaning of the inside of the air conditioning ducts of developments, apartment buildings and shops in this corregimiento. It is coordinated with the board or management of each complex, and cleaning is limited to the sections where the camera shows it is needed.

Don Bosco, a corregimiento of housing developments created in 2017

Don Bosco was created by Law 42 of 2017, split from the Juan Díaz corregimiento, and its territory reaches the Pacific coast. The law itself lists its communities, among them Villa Catalina, Los Robles, Versalles, Las Acacias and Pedregalito, and leaves the list open to housing projects that were still under development.

In a housing corregimiento the first thing to know is what system each complex has. There are houses with individual units and no duct network, and buildings with central equipment that do have one. The camera inspection is kept for that second group and for the shops that share the system with them.

How the work is coordinated in Don Bosco

  1. Complex by complex. Each development has its board or management, and the calendar is agreed with it, instead of visiting house by house without order.
  2. Coastal air and the outdoor units. Since the corregimiento reaches the Pacific, outdoor units in the areas near the sea are checked together with the ducts.
  3. A report for the board. A single report per complex is delivered, with photos per section, so the board can share it with the neighbors who ask.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Don Bosco is among the areas that can be served, and the service is provided by Limpieza de Ductos Panamá, a Climatiza service. Schedule and access are agreed with the board, the property manager or the owner of each place.

Both. A building or an apartment can be inspected, or several homes in a development can be arranged with its board on the same day. In both cases it is first confirmed whether the system has ducts, because individual units do not.

The inside of the installed ducts is viewed with a camera to check that no construction leftovers remain, such as building dust or offcuts. If the inside is clean, the condition is only documented and nothing is cleaned.

It mainly affects the outdoor equipment. Since the corregimiento reaches the Pacific coast, while inspecting the ducts the outdoor units are also looked at, and anything a maintenance technician should see is noted.
